Mappy with the 2015 medallion

One of my happiest memories! -  with the 2015 medallion

Happy New Year!

I've been a Pioneer Press Medallion hunter since 1990. I live in St. Paul and visit the parks often.  I have a feverish passion for solving clues and understand that knowledge of these parks is what contributed to my finding the medallion in 2015.

I've taken thousands of photos at the parks - photos of things only a clue writer would consider looking at.  These photos are the bulk of my research for the content in the printed versions of the Treasure Hunter's Guides.

This website is an extension - a colorful bonus to the print versions of the guides.  You'll find all of the scouting photos I used for creating the content in the guides.  The photos in this website were taken mostly in 2015 (for the green book) and 2018 (for the red book).

Changes in the parks since 2018 have caught my eye and concern me a bit, such as markers that have gone missing (vandals), new play grounds, parking areas, road work.  Not enough substance, yet, to warrant new editions.  Perhaps next year.

Enjoy!  Thank you for the support.  See you out there!
